Jello Cookies

Austin brought this recipe home from his preschool:

3/4 c shortening
1/2 c sugar
1 small pkg Jello*
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla

Beat the above together, then add:

1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 cups flour

Mix, then roll into small balls, place on a cookie sheet and flatten with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes, be careful not to over brown them!

* Any colorful flavor of Jello will work, but grape does not turn out well and the berry blue turns green.
